First Aid by Liderazgo
Perform Basic Life Support and First Aid – Level 1
This course is accredited with the Transport Education Training Authority and covers unit standard “119567” NQF level 1, 5 Credits.
All training programs are Outcome Based and are assessed according to various Unit Standards and Outcomes.
Assessment criteria consists of a Formative Assessment, In-Class Assessments, Summative Assessment and Practical Assessments.
Course Duration
Duration: 2-day course
Day 1: Theory and in-class Assessments
08:00 am – 16:00 pm (x3 15-minute breaks included)
Day 2: Theory, Final Examination and Practical
08:00 am – 16:00 pm (x3 15-minute breaks included)
Final Examination: 13:00 pm – 13:45 pm
Practical Evaluation: 14:00 pm – 16:00 pm
Once all theory has been completed, Learners are taken into a separate room two by two with one facilitator to complete the Practical evaluations
Classes are subject to a maximum of 12 – 15 learners per facilitator
Course Overview
First Aid Level 1 is a requirement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993. This is enforced by the Department of Labour with a minimum requirement of 2 First Aiders per Company, Building, Section or Level.
First Aid Level 1 is a key enabler for people to take Immediate Action in a Medical Emergency. It is the first and at times critical step in Preserving Human Life.
Our Course has been designed to be highly interactive with many practical elements as well as the required theoretical aspects.
